After winning this weekend the men's soccer team was back in action tonight as they hosted the Crusaders of North Greenville University. The Rams battled hard throughout the game, but dropped the game 2-0. With the loss the Rams move to 4-4, while the Crusaders move to 1-3-1.

During the first five minutes of the game each team was trying to get their legs underneath them. As neither team was able to register a shot until the Crusaders had one blocked just a little over five minutes into the game. The Crusaders would continue to put the pressure on the Rams as they were able to score just a little over 15 minutes into the game. After their goal it was all Rams as over the next 20 minutes the Rams would take four shots and one corner kick, but they just couldn't find the tying goal. Just a couple minutes after the pressure put on by the Rams the Crusaders were able to score their second goal of the game. The Rams would go into halftime down 2-0.

The Rams would continue to push in the second half as they looked to find the back of the net. The Rams would take three shots in the second half, but just couldn't find the back of the net even though they spent a lot of their time attacking. As the horn sounded the Rams would drop a hard fought game by the final score of 2-0.

The Rams took seven shots through the game with 3 being on goal...The Rams also had two corner kicks...Paul Grandacarpio led the Rams as he had three shots with two being on goal...Luke Brooks was solid in goal again for the Rams as he had three saves.

The Rams will be back in action on Saturday as they host Montreat College at 7 p.m. Saturday will also be camp night as the campers that attended a CIU soccer camp this summer will have the chance to play a game at halftime.
