GREENVILLE, SC - After concluding the 2024 season in the NCCAA South Region Semifinals several weeks ago, the CIU men's soccer team had two players tabbed as NCCAA All-Americans on Wednesday

Rodrigo Cercal was named to the NCCAA All-American First Team list. Cercal was also named to the Appalachian Athletic Conference All-Conference (AAC) First Team after leading the conference and team with 15 goals. The junior forward also tallied three assists and scored multiple goals in six games.

Michael Abongo was also named to the NCCAA All-American Second Team list. The graduate defender was also named to the AAC All-Conference First Team. Abongo played a critical role in strengthening the Rams' back line and chipped in two assists.
