KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - CIU women's cross country hit the road for the next competition at Sequoyah Park for the NAIA Appalachian Challenge. The Rams competed against a host of tough NAIA competitors from the Southeast region as they participated for the first time in this event.
Rosemary Reed was first across the finish line for CIU as she posted a time of 20:02.93 to finish top-50 at the meet.
Lydia Willhite was not far behind as she finished with a mark of 20:38.79.
Four places behind Willhite was
Dzana Cisic, who timed in at 20:46.66. Rounding out the finishers for CIU was
Shoshannah Crompton, who had a final time of 24:42.63.
What Coach Michael Knight is saying:
"The girl's ran well together again. They made their presence known in the conference today with this one. We are right where we want to be heading into the postseason."
