KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — CIU women's cross country closed out the fall championship slate on Friday at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Championships, turning in several season-best 6K performances in Knoxville.

Elizabeth Gustafson led the Rams with a standout showing, recording a personal-best time of 25:03.08 to pace CIU's lineup. Gustafson, who previously qualified for the NCCAA National Championship, will represent the Rams next Friday, Nov. 14, in Joplin, Mo.

Morgan Hartman also posted a personal record, finishing in 25:57.32, while both Jordan Wray (27:23.33) and Bethany Moore (30:57.82) recorded their fastest times of the season. Michaela Oglesby rounded out CIU's scoring group, crossing the line in 37:25.08.

The championship marks the conclusion of the fall campaign for the team, while Gustafson will continue postseason competition on the national stage next week.
