COLUMBIA, S.C. – Columbia International University Director of Athletics
Stefan Vasiloff has announced the hiring of Cory Inman as the next head coach of the CIU women's basketball program.
Inman takes over the program following the departure of Mark Molder after spending the past seven seasons as an assistant coach for the CIU men's basketball program.
"We are excited to name Cory Inman as the next leader of our women's basketball program," said Vasiloff. "Cory has been an integral part of the success of our men's basketball program while demonstrating a deep commitment to the mission of CIU. He is a proven developer of student-athletes and understands what it means to build a program centered on faith and excellence. We look forward to the impact he will make as our women's basketball program enters its next chapter."
In his seven seasons with the men's basketball program, Inman helped the Rams post seven consecutive winning seasons. During that stretch, CIU developed 28 Appalachian Athletic Conference honorees, including All-Conference, All-Defensive Team and All-Freshman Team selections, as well as seven NCCAA All-Americans. He also helped guide the Rams to two NCCAA National Championship game appearances, an Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament Championship, and an appearance in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round.
Inman is also no stranger to the women's basketball program. He served as the Rams' interim head coach during the 2023-24 season.
Prior to arriving at CIU, Inman was a four-year varsity letter winner at Ohio Christian University from 2014-18. During his playing career, the Trailblazers advanced to three NCCAA Division I National Tournaments, including a trip to the 2017 NCCAA National Championship game.
"I am honored to be given this opportunity at CIU, where the people have meant so much to my spiritual and coaching development," Inman said. "There are so many people to thank for walking alongside me in coaching and in life to help make this moment possible, but it all begins with gratitude to God for each of them. I am especially thankful to
Stefan Vasiloff, Dr. Jones and the entire athletics department for believing in this vision. I can't wait to get to work. Go Rams!"
Inman earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Sports Management from Ohio Christian University in 2018 before completing a Master of Science in Athletic and Coaching Administration from Liberty University in 2020. He is currently pursuing a Master of Clinical Counseling at Columbia International University.
