COLUMBIA, S.C. — CIU women's basketball fell 102–58 to Bryan College (Tenn.) on Saturday afternoon in Appalachian Athletic Conference play at the Moore Fitness Center.
Bryan seized control early and never trailed, building a 30–16 first-quarter lead and extending the margin to 63–29 by halftime.
Katie Johnson led CIU with 14 points, while Katlynn Chinn and Jerchel Geathers-Washington each added nine. Geathers-Washington also pulled down eight rebounds, and Bryanna Belton chipped in seven points off the bench.
Despite the final margin, CIU held a 44–35 rebounding advantage and forced 17 turnovers. Bryan shot efficiently from the field and knocked down 18 three-pointers while converting turnovers into points to maintain control throughout the contest.
The Rams return to action Wednesday, Feb. 18, hosting Columbia College at 5:30 p.m. ET.
