ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. — CIU men's golf wrapped up play at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Direct Qualifier on Tuesday, finishing fifth overall at Barnsley Gardens Resort.
The Rams posted a final team score of 75-over par, carding a 27-over 315 in the final round to close the 54-hole event.
Reinhardt claimed the team title at 18-over, with Milligan (+52), Truett McConnell (+58), and Tennessee Wesleyan (+59) rounding out the top four ahead of CIU.
Luke Hammond led the Rams once again in the final round, firing a 5-over 77 to finish seventh overall individually. His consistent play across all three rounds earned him a spot on the All-AAC team.
Nate Caughman posted a 77, while Braydon Hileman added an 80. Andrew Haarlow contributed an 81 in the final round, and Camden Stikeleather rounded out the Rams' scoring with an 86.
"Disappointing end to our season but I am proud of the effort we had this week," said head coach Major McWhorter. "Barnsley was playing very difficult this week but we managed to play til the end and finish in the Top 5. Looking forward to a promising Fall season.
"It was a pleasure coaching our seniors, Luke, Micah and Andrew. CIU Golf would not be the same without them."
