WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — CIU closed out the Appalachian Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships with a conference champion, an All-Conference relay finish and several strong performances Friday at JDL Fast Track.

Adelyn Swogger led the Rams with a conference championship in the pole vault, clearing 2.65 meters to claim the title and score 10 team points.

Coral Curry added an All-Conference finish in the shot put, placing third with a throw of 11.68 meters to earn six points.

CIU's 4x400-meter relay team of Arion Jefferson, Michaela Oglesby, Morgan Hartman and Elizabeth Gustafson delivered a runner-up finish in 4:06.94, earning eight points and recording a new NAIA-listed mark.

Individually, Morgan Hartman placed 11th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:30.90, while Jordan Wray finished 16th in 2:47.54.

Arion Jefferson also competed in the 200 meters, running 26.54 seconds to finish 11th. Michaela Oglesby added a ninth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 4.90 meters.
