COLUMBIA - CIU volleyball moved their all-time win streak versus Columbia College (S.C.) to 15-0 on Thursday evening as the Rams opened Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-7) win over the Koalas. The Rams move to 11-1 overall and have not lost a conference home game since November of 2020.

Thursday saw the Rams fully in control from the opening serve as the Rams recorded five service aces as a team with Lexabel Rojas leading the way with two. Hanah Weiss was the only Ram in double-figure kills, with 13 and a noteworthy attack percentage of .526. Hadassah Davis was also accurate in attacking, hitting .500 with nine kills. Setters Kamelia De Jesus and Melissa Campos Soto reached double-digit assists as De Jesus posted 20 and Campos Soto tallied 13. Lydia Gustafson and Gabriela Vega kept the Koala offense at bay, each totaling three blocks. Kelcey Mangum led the Rams in digs with 11.

What Head Coach Katie Weiss is saying: "Good to be back at home. It was great to see the stands full and, of course, get the win. Hopefully, we can stay rested and capitalize on this three-match home stretch with three victories."
