Weiss enters her second season at the helm of CIU's women's volleyball program after coming to Columbia in the spring of 2023. The 2023 season saw Weiss elevate her program to new heights as the Rams won their third consecutive Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Regular-Season Championship and their second AAC Tournament Championship. The Rams finished with a 32-3 overall record and a 19-1 record in conference action. 

Most notably, Weiss guided her 2023 squad to their first-ever NAIA Championship Opening Round win as the Rams defeated Weiss's alma mater, Bethel University (Ind.), to advance to the NAIA Championship final site in Sioux City, Iowa. 

The 2023 season featured outside hitter Kira Rymer Attaway, receiving AAC Player of the Year, NAIA All-American, and NAIA CSC Academic All-American honors as Weiss continued the development of the most decorated female athlete in CIU history.  

Weiss came to CIU after six years as the head women's volleyball coach at Bethel University (Ind.), where she took a team that went 14-21 in 2017 to a 25-8 record, NAIA National Championship Tournament bid, and an NCCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship in 2020. Weiss was named the 2020 Crossroads League Coach of the Year and the 2020 NCCAA National Coach of the Year. The Mishawaka, Indiana native would follow the 2020 season with records of 29-11 (2021) and 23-12 (2022) while making return trips to the NAIA National Championship Tournament. 

Weiss' 2022 squad defeated CIU in the 2022 NAIA National Championship Opening Round to advance to pool play, where they would pick up a win over No. 11 Taylor University (Ind.) 

Prior to her time in the collegiate ranks, Weiss spent time as both a club coach and high school coach with the Northern Indiana Volleyball Association, Krush Volleyball Club, and Jimtown High School. 

While with Bethel, Weiss coached two NAIA All-Americans and three NCCAA All-Americans, as well as 24 Crossroads All-Conference players. 

A decorated college athlete herself, Weiss attended Bethel, where she was an NAIA All-American and two-time NCCAA All-American for the Pilot's women's volleyball team. During the 1998 season, Weiss was named the NCCAA National Tournament Most Valuable Player as Bethel won the 1998 NCCAA National Championship. 

Weiss and her husband Dan have two children, Hanah and David, and reside in Irmo.
