The Columbia International University women's basketball team welcomed Morris College as the Rams honored their seniors and all their contributions to the women's basketball team. The Rams honored Brittany Smith, Aaliyah Knox, Erica Hightower, Makeda DeSouza, Liz Jenkins, and Abigail Siemens. The Rams and Hornets would go back and forth, but in the end the Rams pulled out a 70-63 victory for the seniors. With the win the Rams move to 6-15 on the season, while Morris drops to 7-13.

Columbia International was able to honor one of their seniors in a special way to start the game. The Rams were able to win the tip and Liz Jenkins was able to find Brittany Smith for a layup. Smith has missed the season with a foot injury, but it was a special moment for her tonight as she was able to be on the court with her teammates and get the pass from Jenkins as they both transferred from Clearwater Christian College. The Rams and Hornets would go back and forth throughout the first quarter as the two teams tied five times before the Rams were able to get a lead from senior Makeda DeSouza with a little over a minute remaining in the quarter. The Rams would take a 14-12 lead into the second quarter. In the first quarter the seniors were able to score 12 of the 14 points. 

Justice Mazyck would start the second quarter off on a high note for the Rams as she hit a three to give the Rams a five point lead. The Hornets would cut the Rams lead to one, but after a jumper from Mazyck and a three from Jenkins the Rams took a six point lead. The Rams were unable to pull away and the Hornets would tie the game at 24 with just over two minutes left in the quarter. The Hornets would take a one point lead with under a minute to go, but the Rams were able to score the last four points of the half after layups from Moriah Siemens and Mazyck. The Rams went into the half leading 30-27.

The Rams would start the third quarter on an 8-2 run as three different players score for the Rams. The Rams would continue to hold onto their lead and push it to double figures at the 2:12 mark after two free throws from Moriah Siemens. The Rams would keep a double digit lead to close out the third and lead 55-41 go into the final quarter.

The fourth quarter saw the Hornets storm back as they cut the Rams to single digits on multiple occasions and threatened at one point as they cut the lead to one, but the Rams would find their pace again and never let the Hornets take a lead. Liz Jenkins was able to seal the game for the Rams with three points in the final minutes. The Rams would win by the final of 70-63.

Columbia International shot 38.7 percent (24-of-62) from the field and were 20-of-28 from the charity stripe...Morris shot 27.3 percent (24-of-88) for the game and was 12-of-18 from the free throw line...Columbia International was able to force the Hornets into 24 turnovers which resulted in 14 steals for the Rams...The Rams also pulled down 51 rebounds and had 19 assists...Justice Mazyck led the Rams with 17 points...Liz Jenkins had a double-double on senior day as she had 15 points and 11 rebounds, while also having five assists...Aaliyah Knox had nine points, three rebounds, steals, and assists...Abigail Siemens had six rebounds, four assists, and two points, while Makeda DeSouza had 5 points and Brittany Smith had the first two points of the game...Diamone' Johnson led the Hornets with 13 points.

Columbia International will be off until next Saturday as they host Virginia University of Lynchburg at 2 pm. This will be the last home game for the Rams.
