COLUMBIA, S.C. - The CIU basketball programs continue to make their mark in the AAC, as several standout Rams earned recognition on the All-Conference teams. On the men's side, Jeffrey Clark, II was named to the AAC All-Conference First Team and the All-Defensive Team, while Will Kelly and Johnny Whysong also earned spots on the First Team. Rhett Warga earned a spot on the All-Freshman Team, while Katie Johnson received the same honor on the women's side.
Clark, II finished the season second on the team with 431 points, while leading the Rams with 23 blocks and tying for the team lead with 42 steals. The sophomore also contributed 167 rebounds and 68 assists, anchoring both ends of the floor. Kelly led the team in scoring with 462 points, surpassing 1,000 career points this season, and added 31 steals and 61 assists.
Whysong made history with three triple-doubles—the most in program history—while also posting team highs with 165 assists and 236 rebounds, along with 328 points and 19 blocks. Freshman Warga added 107 points, 58 rebounds, 11 assists, and 10 steals, showcasing his all-around impact.
On the women's side, Katie Johnson led the team with 321 points on a .414 field goal percentage, while also ranking second with 122 rebounds and contributing 48 assists. Her outstanding performance places her among the top 10 in CIU women's basketball freshman records for points, rebounds, and assists.
