WAVERLY, Ga. (Sanctuary Cove) - The CIU men's golf team opened its 2025 fall season on Monday against some of the stiffest competition in the NAIA at the Coastal Georgia Invite, finishing the first day in 12th place out of 16 teams. The Rams were +15 as a team in both rounds.
Luke Hammond led the way for CIU, posting a two-round total of 146 (+2). His day was highlighted by a strong second round of 71 (-1). Hammond recorded five birdies across 36 holes. Andrew Haarlow also had a solid day, finishing with a two-round score of 150, including a stellar even-par 72 to start the day.
Nate Caughman finished with a 153 (+9) after rounds of 78 and 75. Santos Espinosa recorded a 157 (+13), while Micah Smith had a an 81 in round one and an 87 in round two. The Rams will conclude play with the final round on Tuesday.
