WALESKA, Ga. — CIU women's soccer made history Wednesday night, earning its first-ever victory over Reinhardt with a dramatic 2–1 road win at Ken White Field.
After a scoreless opening half, the Rams broke through in the 61st minute when
Lohrane Boaventura slotted home the opening goal. Reinhardt equalized just three minutes later, but CIU kept pressing for a breakthrough.
With less than a minute to play,
Callie Rowe struck the game-winner, sealing both the Rams' seventh win of the season and their first in program history against the Eagles.

Hailey Resetar anchored the defense with seven saves as CIU withstood 19 shots and nine corner kicks from Reinhardt. The Rams answered with eight shots, converting twice to improve to 7-1-1 overall and 4-0-1 in Appalachian Athletic Conference play. Through the midway point in the season, CIU is continuing its best start to a season in program history.
The Rams return home to face Bryan College on Saturday, Sept. 27.
