GREENVILLE, S.C. - The NCCAA announced its Scholar Teams for the 2025 spring sports seasons on Monday, and CIU softball was one of the teams honored for their achievement. 

Teams must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.40 to make the cut. Rams' softball has traditionally held one of the highest GPAs in the CIU athletic department, consistently achieving NCCAA and NAIA Scholar Team status. 

The Rams had a successful season on the field this year as they had their best regular-season winning percentage in program history while also winning two games and nearly reaching the semifinals at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament.
