KINGSPORT, Tenn. - Fresh off an opening-round win over Columbia (S.C.) in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament on Monday, the Rams faced No. 1 seeded Reinhardt (Ga.) Tuesday in the tournament's second round. CIU suffered their first loss of the double-elimination bracket to the Eagles 9-0 but still has chances to make noise in Kingsport with an opportunity for another postseason victory on Wednesday.
Game Summary: Abigail Guthrie singled to lead off the game in the top of the first, but the Rams' offense struggled to get off the ground despite the promising start. Dallas Mayers singled in the fourth, but CIU was unable to capitalize.
