CENTRAL, S.C. - This weekend, the CIU men's and women's track and field teams traveled to Southern Wesleyan University for high-level competition. The Rams focused exclusively on the track, with several athletes delivering key performances.

Morgan Johnson led off for the Rams, competing in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.37, securing a third-place finish, while also running the 100H (15.86). Later, Johnson ran the 200-meter dash, finishing in 25.75 seconds to place fifth and securing a AAC and NCCAA qualifying mark. 

The men's team took to the track later in the day, beginning with the 400-meter dash. Denim Jones finished in 52.45 seconds, followed by Julian Carranza (53.03) and Kevin Cunningham (56.46). Elijah Jones also competed in the 200-meter dash, posting a time of 23.10 seconds to close out the Rams' sprint squad. 

Elijah Seawright shined in the triple jump with a mark of 14.51 (47'25), this mark respectively leads the AAC triple jump. 

The Rams will return to action April. 4 at the Second Annual Tornado Classic in Brevard, N.C.
