CEDARVILLE, Ohio. - CIU track & field concluded the NCCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, the Rams will bring back several pieces of hardware to Columbia after two athletes achieved NCCAA All-American status.
Morgan Johnson earned the distinction in both the women's 60-meter dash and the women's 60-meter hurdles. Johnson finished third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.26. Johnson would finish second in the 60-meter dash at a career-best time of 7.73.
Coral Curry was the other Ram to be awarded the honor as she finished third in the weight throw with a mark of 15.66m. Kloey Pickens finished in the top-five event, coming in fifth at a distance of 15.27m. Acoya Hunt competed as well, achieving a throw of 11.93m.
The trio of women's throwers also participated in the shot put, with Pickens pacing CIU at seventh (12.19m). Curry finished with a mark of 11.34m and Hunt with a heave of 10.28m.
On the men's side, Hunter McCaskill concluded his time in the men's heptathlon, scoring 2990 points. McCaskill participated in the hep's 60-meter dash, pole vault, and 1,000-meter run on Saturday.
Nicolas Ortiz was just shy of All-American honors as he finished fourth in the pole vault with a height of 3.95m.
