WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. - For the fourth year in a row, the Rams took a trip down to the Sunshine State for a four-game series against (RV) Keiser University. CIU took a first-inning lead, but this was shortlived as the Seahawks battled back for a 9-4 win. The Rams are now 4-1 on the season.
Game One: Keiser 9 CIU 4: Tre Williams put the Rams on the board in the first frame on a ground out that scored Bradley Garland. CIU held Keiser scoreless in the first, but the Seahawks pushed five runs across in the second to take a 5-1 lead. Williams chipped away at this lead with a solo shot in the fourth, but Keiser responded with three more runs to maintain an 8-2 lead. Both teams went scoreless in the fifth and sixth innings, but the Seahawks added another in the seventh. A two-RBI single from Brandon Arnold in the top of the eighth pulled the Rams closer (9-4), and Grayden Ross held the home team scoreless in the bottom of the frame. In their final at-bat, CIU could not bring any baserunners around for a potential comeback.
