DENMARK, S.C. - CIU baseball scratched out the 5-4 win over in-state NAIA program Voorhees (S.C.) on Tuesday in their final non-conference game of 2024. The win keeps the Rams perfect versus the Tigers on the season and moves to 16-28 on the year.

After a Lopez RBI single in the seventh, the Tigers bounced back to cut the deficit to just 5-4 heading into the ninth. CIU closer Darius Hatchette-Dunn would make a heady play on the mound in the bottom of the inning to complete a double play on a line out and then force the ground out to retire Voorhees.
