WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - After splitting the first doubleheader on Wednesday, CIU baseball was back in action against Carolina University (N.C.) to complete the four-game series. CIU was unable to maintain their lead in either game to fall 1-3 in the series, bringing their season record to 9-22.
Game Three: CU 6 CIU 4: Both teams went scoreless through three, but the Bruins notched two runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 2-0 lead. Jennings Greene tied up the game with a two-run homer in the fifth. An error on an Austin Paradise pushed two more across to give CIU a 4-2 lead. The lead was short-lived, however, as a few pitching miscues and hits allowed Carolina to tie it up at 4-4. The Bruins then scratched two more in the sixth, and CIU could not score despite getting two runners on in the top of the seventh.

Game Four: CU 2 CIU 1: The Rams struck first this game after an RBI double from Collin Greer scored Colton Lopez. Their lead was short-lived again as the Bruins hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the frame to lead 2-1. CIU got runners on in four of the remaining five innings but could not push across another run to drop game four of the series.

JT Stanley threw the complete game, allowing only four hits and striking out three in 6.0 innings.
