COLUMBIA, S.C. - CIU baseball took the field at home for just the second time this season to continue their three-game series against Milligan University (Tenn.). The Buffalos closed the gap (3-1) after pushing a runner across the plate at the top of the second. Both teams went scoreless through the third, fourth, and fifth innings, but both scored one in the sixth (4-2). Neither team scored again for the remainder of the game, giving CIU the victory in game two.

What Coach Jonathan Johnson is saying: "We didn't accomplish what we set out to this weekend. We have a very solid ball club, but we have a few areas to clean up. This will be a big week for us, having six games, with the final three being against powerhouse Tennessee Wesleyan."
