CIU Rocket League Gold vs. John Brown University
CIU Rocket League Gold overtook John Brown University in a Best of 5 match on Monday night with a 3-1 win. The team rallied after their loss against Clearly College the week before having made some intentional changes in communication. The win was hard fought, as JBU never let up on their pressure. After the match, shout caster Gray Holliday – aka Glytch – declared Zach Snook [Gamehawk] as the MPV saying "For the first three games he was the only CIU player to score a goal. I'm so proud of this team!" In a post-game interview, Team Captain Carter Willis made it clear the team has plenty of work to do to stay sharp against the talent they can expect to see in the NACE regular season.

CIU Rocket League Blue vs. University of Dayton
CIU Rocket League Blue fell to University of Dayton on Monday night with a 1-3 loss. The team battled hard against Dayton having only lost by one goal each game, but announcing their presence with one 4-1 win in the set. CIU Rocket League Blue was proud of their progress from last week to this week and are both hopeful and intentional about their future performances. In a post-game huddle, players strategized on training packs and scrimmage protocols. We can expect much from CIU Rocket League in future matches! Go Rams!

CIU Overwatch Gold vs. Dakota State University
CIU Overwatch Gold dominated Dakota State University in their fourth 3-0 sweep in the NACE regular season. In a post-game interview, support player Austin Goff [Winter] went on record saying, "I want to shout out everybody, but if I had to choose one person it has to be HowsYourDay [Ayden Wiggins], he's really stepping it up on the DPS role this year." CIU Overwatch Gold expects to maintain an undefeated regular season in NACE this fall.

CIU Rams Smash vs. Keiser University
CIU Rams Smash battled hard against Keiser University – Flagship on Thursday evening, but fell 0-2 in the set. KU Flagship offered some notable skill with their Zelda and Luigi players causing the Rams to pivot their map banning and player lineups in response. Caleb Phillips' Banjo & Kazooie offered a solid rebuttal to KU's Zelda, but eventually fell. In a post-game interview, Link player Colby Hull went on to express the team's growing awareness of the academic side of competitive Smash Ultimate, where character matchups and favored maps should be at the forefront of the mind in preparation for future matches. CIU Rams Smash vowed to make changes to that end as they look forward to NACE Varsity Plus Round 3 that will take place on next week.
