Bodison's grand slam propels CIU to blowout win over Union

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - After being dealt a blow with two losses to Union College on Thursday, CIU baseball fired back with a 15-4 blowout of the Bulldogs on Friday. The win is CIU's (10-19, 1-11 AAC) first in program history over Union (5-8, 4-5 AAC) and gives CIU double-digit victories for the second straight year.

After going up 2-0 on a Price Alexander two-RBI-single, the Rams picked up their second grand slam of the week off the bat of Grant Bodison to give CIU a 6-0 advantage in the first inning. CIU led 8-1 going into the fifth inning, where they would pick up four runs highlighted by an RBI-single from Britton Morris to put Union in a 11-run deficit (12-1). CIU capped the dominant win in the seventh inning on Joshua Hernandez's two-run homer as the Rams run-ruled the Bulldogs 15-4.
