CIU women's soccer took on the Bryan College Lions on Saturday. While the Rams battled well, they would come up short to the Lions.
The game started evenly with both teams possessing the ball well. The Lions tested the Rams backline with shoot opportunities. CIU would look to advance the ball through the midfield with long passes from Hernandez and
Taylor Kyle. The Lions would strike first with a goal from Makena Giles. The Bryan forward would score on a breakaway and barely get it past CIU goalkeeper
Nadia Threatt. The Rams would trail the Lions heading into halftime.
The second half would begin with Bryan College possession. The Rams hoped to create some scoring opportunities in the second half. The Lion defense wouldn't budge as the CIU attackers pressed for a score to draw even.
Nadia Threatt would hold off the Bryan College forwards with six total saves to keep her team in the mix. CIU was unable to find the back of the net and would come up short to the Lions.
