Less than twenty-four hours after falling to Tennessee Wesleyan the Columbia International University Softball team was back on the field against the Bryan College Lions. The Rams and Lions were engaged in a battle from the first pitch of both games. The Rams tied the Lions in game one and took the lead in game two, but fell just short and dropped both games.
Game One Highlights:
- Robyn Andrews got the game started with a walk and advanced to second on a stolen base and then third on the throw. Kaylyn DeVaney got the ball on the ground, but Andrews was tagged out at home and the Rams went scoreless in the first
- The Lions got a runner on third with one out in the bottom of the first, but Alexis Holler got the next batter to fly out to left and after a relay the Rams got the third out at home to keep the Lions scoreless
- The teams went down in order over the next inning and a half
- In the bottom of the third the Lions got on the board with their first run due to a Rams error
- Trinity Jennings got the Rams on the board in the top of the fifth with a home run on a 0-1 count and the Rams tied the game at one
- The tied game was short lived as the Lions put a couple hits together and got their second run across the board to take the lead back
- In the top of the sixth Leslie Hicks got the Rams started with a single to right, but three straight fly outs got the Lions out of the jam
- Neither team would score and the Lions took game one 2-1

- Robyn Andrews and Alyssa Allender started the inning off with two straight singles and the Rams had a runner in scoring position. After a fielders choice and strikeout the Rams had a runner on second, but two outs. Madison Janning singled to center and Allender tried to score, but was tagged out at home to end the inning
- The Lions would get their leadoff hitter on base and advance her to third base. She would score on a defensive indifference to give the Lions and early lead
- The Lions would once again bring their leadoff hitter around to score once again in the bottom of the second inning to take a 2-0 lead
- The top of the third was the Rams inning. Andrews started the inning with a single and scored on Allender's double to give the Rams their first run. Kaylyn DeVaney followed Allender's double with a double of her own to tie the game at two. Madison Janning singled to left center to score DeVaney and give the Rams their first lead of the game
- The teams would go scoreless over the next two innings
- The Lions would push two runs across the board in the bottom of the fifth to take a 4-3 lead over the Rams
- In the bottom of the sixth the Lions would push one more run across the board and the Rams went down in order as the Lions won 5-3

- The Rams had seven hits and three runs batted in in game two...Andrews, Allender, and Janning all had two hits a piece...Allender and DeVaney each had a double...Three different Rams had a run batted in...Alicia Wallick pitched five solid innings giving up three earned runs and Lana Fletcher pitched an inning in relief...Maryah Sober led the Lions with two hits
