For the second time this week the Columbia International University Softball team was back on the field at home. Today the Rams welcomed the Golden Tigers of Brenau University for a doubleheader. The Golden Tigers are receiving votes in the latest NAIA Poll, while the Rams were looking to get back in the win column after splitting with Allen University. The Rams were unable to keep up with the hot bats of the Golden Tigers as they won game one 16-5 and won game two 15-1.

Game One Highlights:

• The Golden Tigers came out swinging and scored three runs on five hits in the top of the first
• In the bottom of the first the Rams answered with a run of their own when Robyn Andrews scored on a Golden Tigers error
• The Golden Tigers would score four more runs in the top of the second to take a 7-1 lead
• The Rams would go down in order in the bottom of the second
• In the top of the third the Golden Tigers would score another run
• The Rams went down in order in the bottom of the third once again
• The Golden Tigers would hit the ball hard in the top of fourth as they scored 8 runs on seven hits
• The Rams would score four runs in the bottom of the fifth on walk and hits by Kayla Washington and Madison Janning

Game One Box Score Highlights:

• The Rams were limited to four hits, but score five runs on those hits...Madison Janning led the Rams with two hits, while Kayla Washington had three runs batted in...Janning and Alyssa Allender had the other runs batted in...The Golden Tigers had 19 hits and 15 runs batted in...Maygan Loparo led the Golden Tigers with four runs batted in

Game Two Highlights:

• The Golden Tigers would score three runs in the top of inning off a couple miscues
• The Rams would score one run in the bottom of the first as Robyn Andrews and Madison Janning executed the double steal
• In the top of the second the Golden Tigers would score another three runs
• The Golden Tigers would hold the Rams scoreless and score nine in the top of the fifth

Game Two Box Score Highlights:

• The Rams had three hits in the game and one walk...Robyn Andrews, Madison Janning, and Kayla Washington had the Rams hits...The Golden Tigers had 13 hits and Autumn Conaway led the Golden Tigers with three hits
