MURFREESBORO, TN – CIU Men's basketball played their fifth and final NCAA Division 1 exhibition game of the season as they took on Middle Tennessee State University Tuesday night. The Blue Raiders hailed from Conference USA and entered the evening at 3-5. The Rams came into the contest touting a 5-4 record after a win over Montreat College last week. CIU would compete early on but would eventually be overcome by their Division 1 opponent.

The Rams would only trail 35-22 with 4:00 minutes left in the first half. However, CIU would struggle in the second half and fall 86-38.
CIU was led by senior
Tajae Anderson, who was 5-8 from the field and poured in 13 points. Anderson also pulled in 7 rebounds and knocked down two three-pointers. Sophomore
Eric Graham chipped in 10 points on 3-5 shooting.
Jalen Brinson and
Elijah Spalding both contributed to the CIU cause with Brinson scoring 5 points and Spalding posting 4 points on the evening. Freshman,
Darrian Oates, was second on the team in rebounds with 3.
