CIU women's soccer was back in action on Tuesday night as they battled the Cavaliers of Montreat College. The Rams would keep things close, but would not be able to edge the Cavaliers. '

The game started evenly between both squads, both trying to find weaknesses in their opponent's defense. The Cavaliers began to put more and more pressure on the Rams as the first half continued on. Montreat College took nine shots on net with five landing on target. Neither side would be able to gain an advantage as the first half would end scoreless at 0-0. 

The stalemate continued into the second half as both teams looked to create opportunities. Montreat converted a 3-2 into a score with Kaitlyn Adams getting credited with the goal. The Rams rallied and had multiple chances to draw even, but were not able to convert. CIU fell to Montreat College 1-0 in the final tally. 

CIU Women's Soccer looks to their next contest on Wednesday, October 16th, against Milligan College.
