Columbia, SC - CIU womens soccer was back in action Wednesday night against Reinhardt University. While the Rams defended well, they fell short to the Eagles 1-0. 

The Rams began the game in a defensive formation in an attempt to nullify the Eagle attack. Reinhardt took ten shots in the first half, four of which were on the net and saved by CIU goalkeeper Nadia Threatt. The Rams held the Eagles off and ended the first half in a 0-0 stalemate. 

CIU would begin the second half fending off the Eagle attack yet again. The Rams defense stood firm and defended against ten shots, four on net from the Eagles. As the game approached the final whistle, the Eagles would breakthrough and gain an edge over the Rams. Adriana Garcia  scored in the 73rd minute to give the Eagles the 1-0 lead. CIU tried to draw even with the Eagles but were unable to convert any chances. Despite a well fought defensive battle, the Rams would fall short with a final score of 1-0 Reinhardt. 

CIU looks to bounce back this Saturday against Truett-McConnell University at 1:00 PM.
