Rams Sink the Eagles

After being on the road last weekend the Rams returned home tonight to take on the Eagles of Pensacola Christian College. The start of the game was delayed due to lightning and rain, but once the game got started the Rams were no match for the Eagles as the Rams won 6-0. The Rams move to 6-2 on the season, while the Eagles fall to 1-9 on the season.

1st Half Highlights:
  • The Rams got off the first shots of the game and didn't slow down
  • With 27:10 left in the half the Rams were awarded a penalty kick. Victor Maron stepped to the line to take the penalty kick and converted it to give the Rams the early lead
  • Just over two minutes later the Rams got back on the board with a goal from Rahim Gordon assisted by Jeremiah Ruth
  • Ruth got on the board just 45 seconds later to give the Rams a 3-0 lead
  • Less than a minute later the Rams got their fourth goal of the night as Ruth scored his second off an assist from Gordon
  • The Rams would take the 4-0 lead into the half
2nd Half Highlights:
  • Just seven minutes into the half the Rams got their fifth goal of the game as Marcos Da Paz deposited the ball off passes from Ruth and Gordon
  • The Rams would score their sixth and final goal when Da Paz scored off an assist from Nheit Rocham
  • The Rams would win the game 6-0
Box Score Numbers:
  • The Rams had 20 shots with 11 on goal, while the Eagles had five with two on goal...The Rams held a small 5-4 edge in corners...Dominik Schleinitz picked up the win for the Rams...Ruth led the Rams with two goals and two assists...Marcos Da Paz had two goals as well...Rahim Gordon and Victor Maron each had a goal.
