The Columbia International University Women's Volleyball team was back in action after a short rest. Today the Rams took on four time AAC Conference tournament champions Union College. The two teams fought and were evenly matched, but the Bulldogs were able to gain the advantages towards the ends of sets and win 3-0. With the loss the Rams fall to 5-8 on the season, while the Bulldogs move to 4-11.

1st Set Highlights:

• The Rams would score the first point of the game off a kill from De'Asija Harden
• The Bulldogs would then take the lead and jump out to a 14-8 lead
• The Rams tried to fight their way back into the game, but the Bulldogs would win the first set, 25-16

2nd Set Highlights:

• Through the first six points of the set the teams would go back and forth, but the Bulldogs would then jump out to an 8-4 advantage
• The Rams would fight back and score the next five points to take a 9-8 lead. The Rams got points off kills from CJ Hinson and Rachael Branham
• The Bulldogs would gain the lead once again, but the Rams would pull within one point on two different occasion
• The Bulldogs would win the second set, 25-20

3rd Set Highlights:

• After a short break the Rams would come out on fire in the third set as they raced out to an early 6-1 lead, forcing a Bulldogs timeout
• The Bulldogs fought their way back into the game to take a 10-9 lead
• The teams would go back and forth once again as they Rams would tie the set at 20 after a Bulldogs attacking error
• The Rams took a 22-21 lead and were looking to force a fourth game, but the Bulldogs won the final four points and won set three

Box Score Numbers:

• Union had 39 kills today, while the Rams had 34...The teams were almost even with assists as the Rams had 29 and the Bulldogs had 31...De'Asija Harden led the Rams with 15 kills as CJ Hinson chipped in with 12...Mackenzie Sanchez had 27 assists and nine digs...Bruna Barrozo had eight digs for the Rams...Ronja Kruber led the Bulldogs with 10 kills.

Up Next: The Rams will be back on the road Tuesday, as they travel to Gainesville, GA to take on Brenau University. The match is scheduled to tip-off at 6:30 pm.
