After winning their first conference game on Wednesday the Columbia International University Women's Volleyball team was back in action at home against Bluefield College. The game was a battle of the Rams as each team has the ram as their mascot. Tonight's match went to Bluefield as they won 3-0. With the loss CIU falls to 5-8 on the season, while Bluefield moves to 5-7.

1st Set Highlights:

• CIU started off strong as they scored the games first two points thanks to kills from CJ Hinson and De'Asija Harden
• Bluefield would fight back and tie the game and then take the lead after a couple CIU attacking errors
• With a 24-18 Bluefield advantage, CIU came storming back to tie the game at 24 with key blocks by Harden and Tyliahia Williams
• Bluefield would score the final two points and win the set 26-24

2nd Set Highlights:

• CIU would take an early 3-1 lead in the second set, but Bluefield would score the games next eleven points to take a big advantage
• CIU would claw their way back into the game as they were only down 17-12
• Bluefield wouldn't let CIU get any closer as they won the second set 25-16

3rd Set Highlights:

• The teams would go back and forth in the beginning of the third set, but Bluefield would take the advantage
• CIU would fight their way back into the game and be down only by three towards the end of the game
• Bluefield would score five of the last six points and win the set 25-18

Box Score Numbers:

• Bluefield led the game with 55 points, while CIU had 39...Bluefield had 45 kills and CIU had 26...CIU led the game with 34 digs and seven blocks...De'Asija Harden led CIU with 10 kills...Rachael Branham and Mackenzie each had two aces, while Sanchez also had 21 assists...Tyliahia Williams had five blocks...Bethany Mullins led Bluefield with 11 kills.
