After starting the season with eleven games on the road the Columbia International Women's Volleyball team got to play their first game at home. The Rams took to the court for the inaugural home game against rival Columbia College. The Rams took advantage of their home court advantage and won 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-11). With the win the Rams move to 5-7 on the season, while the Koalas drop to 0-4.
1st Set Highlights:
- The Koalas would get the first point of the night, but right after that CJ Hinson would get the Rams first ever point at home on a kill
- The Koalas would jump out to an early 7-3 lead, but the Rams continued to fight their way back in and tie the game at 16 off an ace from Andrea Salas
- Trailing 23-20 in the first set the Rams turned it on and won the next five points to win the first setÂ
- Those five points came from two Hinson kills, two service aces by Mackenzie Sanchez, and a kill from Rachael Branham
2nd Set Highlights:
- De'Asija Harden started off strong in the second set as she had two kills for the Rams first points
- The teams would once again go back and forth with the Rams holding onto a slim lead
- The Koalas would tie the game at 17 and 18 before the Rams once again made a late run to win the second set 25-19
3rd Set Highlights:
- The Rams put the third set away early as they jumped out to on an 11-0 run
- The Koalas wouldn't get any closer than ten points and Tyliahia Williams put the icing on the cake with a kill to seal the Rams victory

- The Rams dominated the stat sheet as they had 57 points compared to the Koalas 27...The Rams had 46 kills and the Koalas had 22...The Rams also led in assists with 41 and digs with 44...De'Asija Harden led the Rams with 19 kills, while CJ Hinson had 15 and Tyliahia Williams had 8...Tyliahia Williams used her height to her advantage tonight as she had six blocks...Mackenzie Sanchez had 37 assists...Bruna Barrozo led the Rams with 12 digs...Taylor Rawl led the Koalas with nine kills and 10 digs...The Rams had an amazing turnout with an attendance of 457!
Up Next: The Rams will stay at home as they will play two this weekend. First, on Friday the Rams will welcome Bluefield College at 6:30 pm for a battle of the Rams. Then, on Saturday the Rams will host AAC Conference tournament champion Union College at 11 am.
