After Hurricane Florence made its way through the Carolinas the Columbia International University Women's Soccer team was back on the field. The Rams were originally supposed to open the conference schedule on the road, but because of the hurricane the Rams opened at home tonight against Truett-McConnell University. The Bears are receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25 poll and showed way tonight as they beat the Rams 3-0. With the lose the Rams fall to 4-1 and 0-1 in conference, while the Bears move to 6-1 and 4-0 in conference.

1st Half Highlights:

• The Bears got going first as they came out shooting, but the Rams would get their first shot off the foot of Alanna Battermann
• With just over six minutes left on the clock in the first half the Bears would score their first goal off the foot of Lydia Williams
• The Bears would score at the two minute mark as well and take the 2-0 lead into the half

2nd Half Highlights:

• Just like the first half the Bears came out attacking as they pressure the Rams
• With 30:15 left in the game the Bears would score their third and final goal
• The Rams tried to mount an attack, but couldn't get much going and fell 3-0

Box Score Numbers:

• The Bears had 26 shots with 11 on goal, while the Rams had 4 with two on goal....The Rams had one corner while the Bears had eight...Sam Wammock had eight saves for the Rams.
