Rams Net Eight Against Screaming Eagles

After winning 4-0 on Saturday the Columbia International University Men's Soccer was in action again tonight against Toccoa Falls College. The men came out firing and doubled their score from Saturday as they won 8-0. With the win the Rams move to 2-0 on the season.

1st Half Highlights:
  • Rahim Gordon got the Rams going as he took a pass from Marcos DaPaz and hit a rocket past the Screaming Eagles keeper. Gordon wasn't done yet as twenty-five seconds later he picked up his second goal off a pass from Jeremiah Ruth.
  • Just one minute later Luke Noland got in on the goal scoring action as he picked up his first collegiate goal
  • The Rams continued to dominate as they scored their fourth goal in under four minutes with Marcos DaPaz getting on the scoring sheet
  • With just over nineteen minutes left in the half, Luke Noland add his second goal of the night to give the Rams a 5-0 lead
2nd Half Highlights:
  • The Rams continued to push and added their sixth goal of the night as Nathanael Ruth found Marcos DaPaz right in front of the goal
  • The Rams didn't let their foot off the gas as Karabo Mahlatsane found Ricky Prestridge to add to the Rams lead
  • With just under eighteen minutes left in the game Kabai Maretlane scored the first goal of his collegiate career with Mateo Garces adding his first assist of his career and Matt Crews picking up the other assist
Box Score Numbers:
  • Columbia International dominated with 23 shots and 12 on goal, while Toccoa Falls had four shots with none on goal...The Rams had seven corners, while the Screaming Eagles had zero...The Rams set an interesting program record with seventeen offsides...Marcos DaPaz, Rahim Gordon, and Luke Noland led the Rams with two goals a piece...Ricky Prestridge and Kabai Maretlane each chipped in one...On eight goals the Rams had six assists...Josiah Brown led the Screaming Eagles with two shots.
