It feels like the Columbia International University Women's Volleyball team just got home from their tournament in Michigan, but the Rams were back in action tonight. The Rams traveled to Sumter, SC to take on the Hornets of Morris College.
Tonight was a night for the record books as the Rams picked up their first victory in program history! The Rams won convincingly as they won 25-8, 25-18, and 25-11.
Throughout the whole game the Rams made the most of their opportunities as they were the better team. Even though a rowdy Morris College crowd tried to rattle the Rams the team stayed strong and pulled together to make sure they didn't let the win slip away.
"I'm really proud of the girls, they played their hearts out tonight and I'm so happy to make history with them," said Head Coach
Amber Haver. "We had a good weekend in Michigan even though we didn't win a game. We took so much away from that and grew as a team so to put that all into tonight and put a solid game together I'm excited to see what we can do the rest of the season."
