The Columbia International University Women's Volleyball team was back in action this morning after playing last night. The Rams welcomed the Bulldogs of Tennessee Wesleyan University to campus today. The Bulldogs are one of the top teams in the northern division, but the Rams played their heart out and fell in five set to the Bulldogs.

1st Set Highlights:

• The teams would go back and forth over the first six points, but the Bulldogs would gain the lead after a Rams serving error
• The Rams would pull within one, 9-8, after an attack error by the Bulldogs, but the Rams weren't done yet as they tied the game at 11 off an ace by Mackenzie Sanchez
• The Bulldogs would regain the lead and race out to a 19-12 advantage
• The Rams would get the next four points of kills by Tyliahia Williams, Aniya Marshall, and De'Asija Harden
• However, the Bulldogs would win the set 25-17

2nd Set Highlight:

• The Bulldogs would take an early lead, but two straight point by CJ Hinson got the Rams back in the set
• The second set was much like the first as the Rams would pull close, but then the Bulldogs would pull ahead
• At the end of set two the Bulldogs won 25-16

3rd Set Highlights:

• Over the first twenty-six points in the set the teams would trade the lead six times as each team had chances to pull ahead
• The Bulldogs would take the first lead over a point, but the Rams would come back to tie it at 19
• With the game tied at 19 the Rams were looking to take the lead and they did just that off a beautiful kill by Marshall
• The Bulldogs would tie the game at 24 and force the Rams to take a timeout, but right out of the timeout the Rams would win the next two points and the set

4th Set Highlights:

• The Rams would take an early 4-1 lead off errors by the Bulldogs
• The Bulldogs would tie the game, but the Rams would retake the lead and hold onto it for much of the game
• Over the final points it was close as the Bulldogs and Rams were tied at 20, 21, and 22
• Hinson put the set away with a strike down the line to win set four 25-23 and force a set five

5th Set Highlights:

• The Bulldogs would race out to an early 5-2 lead, but the Rams would get the next two points to pull within one
• The Rams wouldn't get any closer as they Bulldogs won the final set 15-7

Box Score Highlights:

• The two teams were evenly match as the Rams had 50 kills, while the Bulldogs had 53...The Rams also had 8 aces compared to the Bulldogs 6...Mackenzie Sanchez had a phenomanal game with 42 assists...Bruna Barrozo kept many play alive with 21 digs...De'Asija Harden and CJ Hinson led the Rams in kills with 16 and 13...Aniya Marshall had the best game of her collegiate career as she finished with 10 kills...Sydney Ritten led the Bulldogs with 17 kills
