The Rams were looking to start 2017 on a two game win streak after beating the Crown College on Tuesday. However, the Rams struggled against the Crusaders and fell 75-57. With the loss the Rams fall to 4-10 on the season, while the Crusaders move to 6-7.

The Crusaders would jump out in front of the Rams early and take a 4-0 lead, but the Rams were able to trim the lead to one after a three from Ryan Gibson. The Crusaders would push their lead once again as high as nine at one point, but the Rams were able to cut the lead to one at the 10:58 mark after two made free throws from Jordan Dillingham. However, after that the Rams would go cold and the Crusaders would heat up and push their lead 15 twice with the last of those coming at the 2:31 mark. The Rams would trim the Crusaders lead to nine going into the break.

The Rams would come out of the half cold as it took them almost three minutes to get their first points. The Crusaders would then take control of the game and run their lead as high as 25 points. The highlight of the second half for the Rams came at the 2:08 mark as Tyrone Dantzler Jr. was able to steal the ball near the half-court line and throw down a two-handed dunk at the other end. When the horn sounded the Rams fell 75-57.

The Rams struggled from the floor tonight as they shot 35.7 percent (20-56) and 23.8 percent (5-21) from beyond the arc...The Rams hit the double digit scoring mark tonight...Ryan Gibson led the Rams with 15 points and six rebounds...Tyrone Dantzler Jr. had his best game of his collegiate career with 14 points and Jordan Dillingham was the third Rams to hit double digits with 13...The Rams were able to force the Crusaders into 22 turnovers...Miguel Cartagena led the Crusaders with 17 points.

The Rams will be back in action on Saturday when they host Mid-Atlantic Christian University at 2 p.m. in the Moore Fitness Center.
