The Columbia International University men's basketball team traveled north to take on Barber-Scotia College. The Rams and Sabers battled throughout the first, but the Sabers prevailed in the second half as they won 75-72. With the win the Rams move to 2-4 on the season.

The Rams and Sabers went back and forth through the first couple minutes of the half, but the Rams would take a 13-7 lead after a three from JC Cavin. The Rams would push their lead to 12 twice with the latter coming after Juraj Rovis hit a three. The Sabers would battle back as they cut the lead to one multiple times, but a three from Nayquan Wilson gave the Rams a four point lead at the break.

The Rams would push their lead coming out of the half as they would take an 8 point advantage after a three from Blake Ellison. The Sabres would take their first lead of the second half at with 10:20 remaining. The teams would tie and take small leads multiple times throughout the last 10 minutes. The Sabres though had two players foul out and were down to playing with four. However, that didn't hurt them as they would win 75-72.

The Rams shot 44% for the game...Ryan Gibson, JC Cavin, and Nayquan Wilson all scored in double digits for the Rams...The Rams pulled down 36 rebounds and dished out 18 assists...Kamal Ramos led the Sabres with 27 points.

The Rams will be back in action on Tuesday as they host Warren Wilson College for a 7:30 p.m. tip.
