Nathaniel Rhine, widely known as Nate, began his coaching journey at Ben Lippen HS, joining the JV Football Coaching Staff and serving as a Volunteer Goalie Trainer while pursuing his education at CIU. Graduating in 2012, he later earned a Master of Arts in Elementary Education in 2014.
Nate most recently served as the AD and Soccer Coach at Grace Christian in Sanford, NC. Where over the past three years, he transformed the department, expanding from 12 to over 36 teams, elevating the school from 1A to 3A in the NCISAA. Under his leadership, the school secured five State Championships, and he coached both men’s and women’s Soccer teams to a State Championship during his first year as AD in 2021. His coaching accolades at Grace include 8 Conference Coach of the Year Awards, 8 Conference Championships, and impressive runs to the State Playoffs. In four seasons coaching boys and five seasons coaching girls soccer, he achieved 183 Wins, 37 Losses, and 1 draw. In 2023, Nate received the National Christian High School Athletic Association (NCSAA) Women’s Soccer Coach of the Year Award.
Before Grace, he served as an Athletic Director, Soccer Coach, Youth Pastor, and Bible Teacher in Clayton, NC, and St. Petersburg, Florida, where his soccer coaching record stood at 79 wins, 27 losses, and 1 draw.
Nate's dedication and success have earned him national recognition, making him a valuable addition to our Athletic Staff as the Women’s Assistant Soccer Coach under Kara Lail.
Nate resides in Columbia, SC with his wife, Rebecca, and their two daughters: Cali-Marie and Keeley Lauren.
