WINGATE, N.C. — Columbia International University men's cross country senior Josh Zhang highlighted the Rams' trip to the Bulldog Stampede on Friday by setting a new program record in the 7K with a time of 24 minutes, 24.69 seconds.

CIU competed against a field that included NCAA Division II and NAIA programs in the meet hosted by Wingate University. Zhang was joined in the men's race by Jacobo Garcia-Rivera (24:53.02), Joey Canning (27:15.37) and Corbin Otto (31:33.20).

On the women's side, Elizabeth Gustafson led the Rams with a 27:21.66 finish, while sophomore Morgan Hartman crossed in 30:05.05.

CIU continues their season next week at the Adidas Invitational hosted by Winthrop University.
