MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. - Saturday afternoon, the Rams hit the field for their third doubleheader of the week and the second against St. Thomas University. CIU could not keep up with the Bobcats' offense and dropped both games in five innings. The Rams fall to 6-8 on the season.
Game One: STU 10 CIU 0: St. Thomas took the lead off of a solo homer in the first, and CIU threatened to score after singles from Alexuz Barnes and Carmella Korte in the top of the second, but the Rams couldn't move them around. The Bobcats added two more in the second, but both teams went scoreless in the third. After scoring seven runs in the fourth, STU led 10-0, and CIU did not score in the fifth to prevent the run rule.

Game Two: STU 9 CIU 1: St. Thomas' offense picked up where they left off in game one, leading 5-0 after the first two innings. Sophia Noriega walked in the third, stole second, and advanced to third on a ground out, but a flyout prevented her from advancing 60 more feet. Raleigh Stewart and Caydon Thompson had back-to-back singles in the fourth but still could not score. The Bobcats added another in the bottom of the frame, but CIU got on the board with an RBI single from Hannah Murphy (6-1). St. Thomas responded with three more runs for another run-rule loss.
