ATHENS, TENN. - The Rams took the field to conclude the series against No. 1 Tennessee Wesleyan Univeristy on Saturday afternoon. CIU could not keep up with the Bulldogs' offense and lost both games. CIU is now 8-9 overall and 1-5 in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play.
GAME TWO: TWU 12 CIU 1: CIU scored in the top of the first after an RBI double from Mason Turner, and the Bulldogs evened the score in the second inning with a solo homer. TWU tacked on another in the third but exploded in the fifth inning with five runs (7-1). They extended this lead with three more in the sixth. The Rams moved runners into scoring position in the eighth with singles from Tre Williams and Graham Peeler, but a strikeout ended the threat. A two-run homer in the bottom of the frame from the Bulldogs ended the game in eight innings (12-1).

GAME THREE: TWU 25 CIU 0: The Bulldogs exploded in the first two innings, combining to lead 15-0. Brandon Arnold singled in the second but was left stranded at first. TWU added 10 more runs in the next three innings to lead 25-0 after five. The bottom of the sixth inning was a bright spot for the Rams, as Noah Davis held them scoreless on the mound. Kai Smith notched the team's second hit of the game in the top of the seventh, but it was not enough to overcome the deficit.
