COLUMBIA, S.C. - CIU men's basketball earned its second win of the season on Friday afternoon, defeating Southeastern (Fla.) 85–70 inside the Moore Fitness Center. The Rams moved to 2–2 on the year with the victory.

CIU set the tone early, shooting 47 percent in the first half while knocking down six 3-pointers to take a 48–32 lead into the break. The Rams maintained control throughout the second half, stretching the margin to as many as 27.

Will Kelly led the offense with 22 points, going 7-of-10 from the field and a perfect 7-of-7 at the free-throw line, while also adding two rebounds and three assists. Jeffrey Clark II finished with 16 points and nine rebounds, and James Davis contributed 13 points to go along with three assists and three steals.

Johnny Whysong was efficient as well, scoring 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting and dishing out five assists. JJ Vaughan provided a lift off the bench with 14 points, including three makes from beyond the arc.

The Rams shot 49 percent from the floor and 77 percent from the free-throw line, while generating 22 points off turnovers and 20 points from their bench.

CIU is back in action on Saturday, Nov. 8, hosting College of Coastal Georgia at 3:00 p.m. ET in another non-conference matchup against a Sun Conference opponent.
