SPARTANBURG, S.C. - CIU men's cross country hit the course Saturday morning in the Converse Kick-Off 2024 meet. The Rams sent four runners to the course to compete against NCAA Division I and II schools. 

Senior Gavin Barfield led the charge for CIU, finishing with a formidable time of 30:32.4 (8k). Close on his heels was teammate Joey Canning, who completed the course in 30:39.7.

Spencer Evans and Malik Beaver, who crossed the finish line at 31:45.9 and 32:05.5, were rounding out the team's performance.

Up Next: CIU is back on the course on Saturday, Oct. 12, to race in the Sand Shark Invitational, hosted by USC Beaufort.
