CLEVELAND, Ga. - Both home and away venues have been kind to CIU volleyball in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC), and this trend continued Friday as CIU swept Truett McConnell 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-14) on the road. The Rams have now won twenty matches in a season for the fourth consecutive year as they move 20-1 on the season and 10-0 in the AAC.
CIU had three players with double-digit kills as Hanah Weiss and Hadassah Davis each chalked up 11, and Katie Camp posted 10. Melissa Campos Soto recorded a double-double with 19 assists and ten digs, while fellow setter Kamelia De Jesus tallied 19 assists of her own. The Rams had three other players record double-digit digs in the form of Bellamy Fennell (10 digs), Lexabel Rojas (10 digs), and Kelcey Mangum (29 digs). The Rams also saw a notable individual performance from Lydia Gustafson, who had eight kills and four blocks.
