The Seahawks tied things back up, but another Britton Morris homer gave the Rams a 12-11 lead in the sixth. The Seahawks tied it up in the seventh and then took a three-run lead in the eighth (15-12). A three-run blast from Carter Willis in the top of the ninth tied it up and sent the game into extra innings. Keiser was quiet in the bottom of the ninth, as were the Rams in the top of the tenth. The Seahawks pushed one run across to take the game 16-15 and the series 3-1.

What Coach Jonathan Johnson is saying:
"It's never easy starting the season versus an annually ranked program like Keiser. You don't realistically expect to win these types of series early on the road, but you do expect to get a good feel for what type of team you are going to have. I saw positive progressions in every facet of the game this weekend. The attitude and effort I saw from our team excites me for what is ahead as we jump right into conference play next Friday. We will continue progressing, cleaning up a few things that were exposed this week at practice, and we will be prepared to host a red-hot Milligan team that has started the season 7-2 and has received votes in our national poll."
Up Next: CIU returns home on Feb. 17-18 for their first home series against Milligan University (Tenn.), at 5 PM on Friday and 12 PM and 3 PM on Saturday.
