WILMINGTON, N.C. - CIU men's basketball played their second NCAA Division I exhibition game of the season on Tuesday, taking on established mid-major program University of North Carolina-Wilmington (UNCW). The Rams were within two of the Seahawks (37-35) with 4:59 remaining in the half. However, UNCW closed the half on a 19-2 run. The Seahawks opened up the game's final 20 minutes, securing a 116-80 win over CIU.
DiAnthony Heathcock led the Rams in scoring with 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting knocking down two 3-pointers. Christian Howard was the Rams only other player in double-figures with ten. Jackson Inman came off the bench to hit two triples and score eight points.
