BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - After Friday's match with Union (Ky.) No. 22 CIU volleyball has now played four Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) matches without losing a set as CIU defeated the Bulldogs 3-0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-13). The win moves the Rams to 13-6 overall and 4-0 in the AAC, while Union falls back to .500 at 6-6 at 2-2 in the conference.
The Rams did not allow a 20-point set out of the Bulldogs, which is the third match where CIU has accomplished this feat in conference play.

Carla Cauchi was impressive, serving with a season-high five aces. Junior
Kamelia De Jesus served as the Rams' primary setter with 22 assists, while reigning NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week
Kelcey Mangum continues her promising start to her career with 15 digs. The Rams' height bothered the Bulldogs at the net as Union had a .000 hitting percentage and did not have an individual player hit over .100.
What Coach Amber Haver is saying: "It's a really long bus ride up here to Kentucky, especially after a long school week. Union College has a tough environment for a visiting team and Coach Wise has continually established a culture of winning from year to year. Really proud of our team for facing tough circumstances and getting the job done in 3-0 fashion. Now, back on the bus to head to Tennessee for two more matches tomorrow."
Up Next: The Rams will play a tri-match with Johnson (Tenn.) and Appalachian Bible (W.V.), beginning at 1 PM in Knoxville.
